Fish Savior

The fish that wormed its way into her heart was as slick as destiny, as red as a falling sun. It carried death in its kiss, but it was a death unseen, a death too sweet to taste. By the time we noticed, it was too late, and even the shaman of the five tribes was powerless to dislodge it. Three days later, my brother was born, and the destiny of the world fell firmly into his scaly little hands.
