Thought Draw
By Darren Olson

Can’t think about her. Must not think about her. If I think about her, the things will come. If I think about her, they’ll come and they won’t stop coming until I stop thinking about her. But I can’t stop thinking about her when they come. I can’t stop thinking about her even though I know that if I don’t stop, they will break down the barricades and descend on me like a plague-cloud of living darkness. I have to focus on something else, anything else. I have to stop thinking about her. Can’t think about her. Must not think about her or the things will eat me. Can’t think about her. Can’t.

Oh god.

Here they come.
